Amazon.com Product Description

The WORX GT is the perfect tool to neatly manicure your yard after you mow. It even won the prestigious Editor’s Choice award from Popular Mechanics Magazine at the 2006 Lawn and Garden Show.

The lightweight WORX 18-volt battery-powered string trimmer weighs less than a gallon of milk and is the only trimmer on the market which converts from a standard grass trimmer to a true walk-behind edger – 2 tools in 1. The integrated Edger wheel allows you to quickly and easily roll the trimmer along your patio or driveway for adding that perfectly edged look to your yard or garden.

And forget the hassle of pull starters - the WORX GT starts with the single push of a button. Forget the aggravation of untangling extension cords – the 18-volt battery-powered WORX GT can trim up to a 1/2 acre yard on a single charge. It goes anywhere you need to. And unlike some competitive cordless models, the WORX GT comes with a 1-hour quick charger so you don’t have to wait for hours for the battery to re-charge…you’re back to work in minutes not hours.

The unique trimming head of WORX GT pivots up to 90-degrees to reach under decks, under play equipment, under trees and bushes or on slopes and hills.

No more bumping to feed line. The auto-feed line system of the WORX GT feeds out line with a simple squeeze and release of the trigger. The fold-away spacer guard also helps to protect flowers, tree trunks, outdoor lighting and other delicate objects from damage by the trimmer line.

The WORX GT adjusts in length and handle positions to ensure a more comfortable ergonomic fit and less strain on backs and arms. And unlike long, bulky trimmers, the WORX GT collapses for easy storage in a closet or garage.

What's in the Box
WORX GT 18-volt cordless string trimmer, two 18-volt battery packs, and 1-hour fast charger, pre-loaded spool with 16-feet of trimmer line, complete tri-lingual operator’s manual and product demo DVD for quick assembly and clear operation

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent trimmer for small jobs, May 7, 2012
This review is from: WORX GT WG150.2 10-Inch 18 Volt Cordless Electric String Trimmer/Edger With Two Batteries (Lawn & Patio)
The first time I used this trimmer was the second time I'd ever used a trimmer. The other one I used was an old gas model, which was very heavy and hard to start without 3 hands. I've used it a few times to trim around the house and trees, and edge along the driveway and sidewalks. So far I haven't had any issues. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it for heavy use, but overall, my experience has not been as bad as others.

I was able to assemble it by looking at the pictures on the box. It also comes with a DVD, but I'll probably never watch it.

Pros:
Light weight = less hand cramping
Easy to start
Easily converts to edger and back
Comes with 2 batteries so you don't have to wait for it to charge
Easy to assemble
Automatic line feed has always worked for me
Low maintenance
"Free" spools for life (You get 6 10ft spools for $0 + $6.11 S&H from the Worx website)
Does exactly what I needed it to do

Cons:
1 hr... Read more

The Worx GT is the best cordless trimmer I have ever owned.
The only thing I don't like about it. The battery only last about 45 min. They need to make the batterys more affordable to purchase a second backup battery. I have a Craftsman Trimmer I use when this battery goes dead. I like the Worx GT better it is light in weight compared to my Craftsman battery powered. My Craftman battery only last 45 min also. The Worx GT has different head positions. Where my Craftsman only has one position. I would purchase the Worx GT again. The string spools last a long time without having to replace.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased..., May 10, 2012
This review is from: WORX GT WG150.2 10-Inch 18 Volt Cordless Electric String Trimmer/Edger With Two Batteries (Lawn & Patio)
I've been using my Worx Trimmer for 4+ years now. I also purchased a second battery with the original purchase. (just a habit with battery powered products)

My experience with the Worx Trimmer is all positive!

Living in the Pacific Northwest the yard care season is only seven months long. During that time I tend/maintain my yard every two weeks. When I use the Trimmer it's usually for no more than 30 minutes at a time to completely trim the front and back lawns and cut down the places the mower won't reach. I've also used it to trim the Arbor-vitaes that flank my garage doors. So for me the charge time on the original (not lithium) batteries is more than sufficient.

Ive never had a problem with the trimmer. It works exactly as the manufacturer states. It starts at the squeeze of the lever, the string feeds out automatically and it's very easy to configure it into the various positions needed to complete the tasks. It's lightweight and well balanced... Read more
